Helen is just one of those little rays of sunshine that serves to make a nice day that much nicer. I started our day off by leading her to the wrong place to take photos (note to all: The Center for Urban Horticulture is not the same thing as the Arboretum) and rather than be impatient, she hopped in my car and braved traffic with me as we crawled in Seattle traffic to where we wanted to be. Of course she is amazing and is doing wonderful things with her life and is a fellow UW masters student and has the most beautiful, whimsical style to boot. She wanted photos that were bright and celebratory – we definitely got those, in no small part due to Helen’s happy self. I suppose the sun also had a part to play (bless).
Spring (break!) is in the air, without a doubt in the world. Dandy hails from China originally and is currently going to college in Michigan. Having never been to the Emerald City before, she figured it was time to give us a visit – and her timing was impecable. The day she got here, we ended our seemingly endless rainy spell, and she got to see Seattle at her very best, complete with mountains, blue sky, water views, and cheery people at Pike. We did a little mini city tour and got some portraits in a little bit of everywhere – starting with the Market and some coffee (kicking it classic), moving on to some prime waterfront, and wrapping it up at UW where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
